You could say the worst day of my week would be ‘Rest Day’.
A day without gym just feels so so wrong to me, but we all know that the respite is essential and has its reason.
The thing about most fitness enthusiast, those mainly starting out is that they think that the muscles are built in the gym.
They’re both right and wrong.
Actually gym workouts stimulate your muscle, and it’s only outside gym that muscle grow from the food we eat and the recovery/rest.
So basically you ‘tear’ your muscle in the gym, and it is ‘rebuild’ outside the gym. Simple as that.
It’s fine to rest 2-3 days depending on how severe your workouts are that week.
So don’t fret, ‘Rest Days’ are muscle growth day.
