Did you know you need 10mcg of vitamin D on a daily basis to maintain healthy bones?
And you cannot get that adequate amount of vitamin D from the food you eat itself.
You still need to bask in the sun.
The question is now, how long should you be out in the sun, without running the risk of burning and getting skin cancer.
It is found that the dermatologist recommends 10 to 15 minutes or so of unprotected sun exposure.
Beyond that, you are advised to use a good sun protection with at least 30-SPF or higher sunblock.
Do note to reapply after your swimming or sweating.
